Gateway Youth Athletic Association/Booster Club

GYAA:

GYAA is a non-profit, distinctly volunteer organization providing athletic opportunities for the youth in thegateway player towns of the Gateway Regional School District (Blandford, Chester, Huntington, Middlefield, Montgomery, Russell and Worthington).

GYAA Mission Statement:

The purpose of GYAA shall be to develop the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork, self-confidence, physical fitness and enjoyment of sports through a variety of sports programs.

Gateway High School Booster Club:

The booster club is comprised of a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting all facets of Gateways highbooster concession gatorschool sports programs, including field maintenance and upgrades, sports banquets, awards, scholarships, and much more. Funded mainly through fundraisers, and one of the finest concession stands in the area, the booster club provides Gateways athletes with recognition and support that is sometimes hard to come by with education budgets already strained.

Memorial Day Tournament:

The Gateway Memorial Day Tournament was started in 2002 to provide revenue for two not-for-profit organizations serving the youth of the Gateway School District, the Gateway Youth Athletic Association, and west side sportsthe High School Booster Club. As the only soccer tournament in Massachusetts held Memorial Day weekend outside of Eastern Mass, it provides the perfect opportunity for teams to prepare for their spring playoffs. Besides exciting soccer from early morning until well into the afternoon, there is plenty of activities to keep the players and their families busy between games. The always busy concession booth has a fully stocked inventory offering plenty of food, drink, and snacks. There are booths with soccer equipment, souvenirs, raffles, and tournament t-shirts.
